Shirley Siegel

Vice-Chair – joined the SCS Board of Directors in 2014

As a senior executive for over 3 decades, Shirley has worked in human resource management, policy development and program delivery in both the Canadian public service (e.g., Department of National Defense, Canadian Food Inspection Agency and the Treasury Board Secretariat) and in international, multi-lateral organizations (e.g., International Monetary Fund, Washington, D.C. and United Nations Secretariat, New York).

Throughout her career, Shirley has led numerous high profile public sector transformation/renewal initiatives. In recent years, her consulting work has involved a variety of assignments including conduct of organizational reviews of government institutions, provision of ethics advice and leadership development materials for international agencies and as an executive coach.

As a volunteer, Shirley has worked in palliative care and as a Board Member within the social housing sector.
